Mokahum’s three objectives of biblical education, ministry training, and life skills are the foundation for each student’s education and experience at Mokahum Ministry Center. Our standard of conduct is based on the premise that all individuals on our campus are committed to these objectives for themselves and for other students.

The Campus

Nestled in the heart of Northern Minnesota's lake country on a sprawling 30-acre campus within the Leech Lake reservation, Mokahum offers a picturesque setting for students to enjoy a range of outdoor activities including swimming, fishing, boating, biking, skiing, and camping.

Surrounded by the rich cultural heritage of the Leech Lake, Red Lake, and White Earth reservations, our facilities include men's and women's dormitories, married housing, an administrative building with classrooms and student life facilities, hiking trails, a basketball court, softball field, and horseshoe pits.

Situated just 10 miles away from Bemidji, MN, students also have convenient access to Bemidji State University, Sanford Center, Headwaters Science Center, Lake Itasca State Park, Lake Bemidji State Park, and the nearby Buena Vista ski area.

Schedule

At Mokahum, we offer a year-round school schedule with brief breaks during Christmas and in the spring, and a 6-week summer break allowing students quality time with their families.

Our comprehensive school year encompasses exciting experiences such as two off-site short-term mission trips, a thrilling wilderness canoe trip, and periodic service and ministry projects within the local area.

Additionally, due to the flexible nature of our training, students are welcome to join our program at any time.

Cost

$250 / month

At Mokahum, we offer affordable tuition at $250 per month, which includes comprehensive coverage of coursework, curriculum, housing, and noon meals on class days.

Students are encouraged to take part-time jobs in the area in order to both provide income and be a testimony within the employment community.

Scholarships are available for students demonstrating financial need, and we encourage students to explore financial assistance from their families, churches, and tribes. We are committed to supporting our students in their educational journey and finding solutions to make their Mokahum experience accessible and enriching.
